Originally planning to be back in Adelaide to photograph weddings again in March to April, or Sept to November, when Huey contacted I couldn’t say no, and so flew back for her and Chi’s winter wedding at Mt Lofty House. Huey was a bridemaid at a previous wedding I was fortunate to photograph just over a year ago. At that wedding she left an impression on me – a hard worker, a mood setter, and beaming with positivity.
Chi and Huey’s wedding exceeded all expectations, it would be hard to find a nicer couple, and their families and friends are also the loveliest people. The day was filled with fun, smiles, and just the right amount of romance. Photographing couples from all walks of life and backgrounds is one of the most rewarding parts of being a wedding photographer – I feel so lucky to be able to witness wedding days celebrated filled with various cultural aspects and symbolic rituals.
